Michael: DT (Woodwork) KS3 Math & KS3 ICT

Michael Qualified this year with a 2:1 honours degree. 2:1 Honours Degree. Although qualified in Design Tecnology primarily, Michael is happy to take 50% KS3 maths in his timetable if necessary. He is also competent and qualified to teach KS3 ICT. He has experience teaching in co-educational schools (quite rural areas) and has good SEN experience having dealt with pupils with Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and general learning difficulties. Michael has very good behaviour management skills and is happy to work with more challenging pupils if necessary.

Shane: Design Technology, Metalwork, Technical Graphics & Maths GCSE

Kelly: History & English A level & French GCSE

Kelly graduated this year with first class honours in her PDE. She is qualified to teach History and English to A level and also French to GCSE level. She has taught in an all-girls school and taught junior cycle classes. She has very good IT skills and has good presence in classroom. Kelly has been involved in many areas of extracurricular activities including organising fundraising events, running book clubs and also extra classes for weaker students to improve their literacy skills. Kelly has excellent references and is available immediately.

Aoife: History & English

Aoife graduated with her PDE in 2012 (honours) and she also has a Masters in 20th Century Irish History. Since graduating, she has worked in two different schools as a History and English supply teacher. These schools were quite academic, with mixed behaviour. Aoife is a very patient and approachable teacher and she has good experience differentiating in her lessons. She has excellent IT skills and likes to use a lot of ICT in planning her lessons. She has worked with SEN pupils and has experience with dyslexia, downs syndrome and pupils with physical disabilities. She has recently completed some CPD courses on ‘Teaching and Learning with ICT’ and ‘Advanced Teaching skills for Classroom management.’ Aoife is keen to secure a full time History or English position and is available to start immediately.

Paula: English & Music

Paula is qualified to teach English and Music and she has experience teaching in 2 schools, one of these was before she completed her PDE. Paula has excellent SEN experience and she worked as an LSA. This has helped her in her understanding of the importance of differentiation in her lessons. She relates material to pupils’ interests and  she is an approachable and encouraging teacher. Paula has a keen interest in Music, Drama, Choir and concerts and she also would be interested in getting involved in any public speaking or debating in a school.

Valerie: English, Media, History & ESL

Valerie has approximately 3.5 years teaching experience in Secondary schools, but has been an ESL teacher for around five years also. She does have experience teaching the UK curriculum, having taught Media in Kent previously. Valerie has strong behaviour management skills and she has worked with many different types of students over the years. She is very interested in setting up a public speaking team within a school and she is also happy to work with ESL students in an extra-curricular capacity.

Shane: Geography, History & Politics A level, ICT & English KS3

Shane has 8 years teaching experience- (5 years post qualification experience). He is qualified to teach Geography and History & politics to A level, and has also taught ICT and English as part of his timetable to KS3 pupils. Shane’s strength is his classroom management skills and he has excellent presence in the classroom. He has taught in both academic and challenging schools and students he has taught have achieved great results in their exams. He has excellent ICT skills and thinks that using ICT in the classroom is integral to teaching interesting lessons. Shane is interested in sports and would be happy to get involved in sports or music within a school. He is available to start immediately and has excellent references.

Niamh: History & Religion  A level

Niamh has just qualified with a 2:1 Honours Degree and is qualified to teach History and Religion to A level. She has taught in two schools, both of which were academic schools, and she taught both Junior and Senior cycle students. Niamh has excellent IT skills and a lot to offer a school in terms of extra-curricular activities having been involved in musicals and drama at her two schools. Niamh is also an advocate of guided discovery in her teaching methodologies. Stephane: French & Spanish A level

Stephane has graduated with a first class honours degree this year and he is qualified to teach French and Spanish to A level. He also studied Sociology, Politics & Media so would be happy to teach these to KS3/ GCSE level. Stephane taught in an all-girls school for his Teaching Practice placement. This was a very disadvantaged school and he gained good experience using differentiation in lessons – used to checking pupils throughout lessons, and assisting weaker learners. Stephane is an advocate of active learning and believe that having engaging and interesting lessons in the key to good behaviour. He has excellent ICT skills and also has business experience which would be an advantage in teaching in the UK. Stephane was a Basketball & Athletics coach for the school’s teams in the past, so would be an asset to a school in terms of sport within a school.  He also produces music himself and was involved in Media in his teaching practice school- creating videos with students/ ICT etc so is also interested in getting involved with this. He is available for interview immediately and can start immediately also.

Karen: Food Technology & Business

Karen is an extremely enthusiastic newly qualified teacher and she is qualified to teach Food Technology, textiles and design and also Business and Economics to A level. She has done several placements in a range of schools: community schools, catholic and private schools and she also has experience teaching in a school with early school leavers. She is a well-planned teacher with strong classroom presence. She also has good experience working with SEN pupils. Karen would love to get involved with lots of extra-curricular activities including craft or textile groups and was involved in setting up a ‘creative crew’ group in a school. She would also love to set up cookery classes for other students in the school. She can start immediately and has excellent references.

Orla: Geography & Music

Orla is a very competent and outgoing Music and Geography teacher. She is  also qualified to teach music technology and has used programs such as Sibelius, Finale, New Score and Garageband. She is a very creative and talented teacher and she is an approachable yet firm teacher when it comes to discipline. She has good ICT skills and is an advocate of using ICT and creativity in her lessons. She has very good experience teaching choirs and also has a lot of experience organising big events such as music and choirs for weddings, ceremonies etc. She plays piano and violin and would be happy to get involved in any music, drama or geography activities outside the classroom. She has excellent references and can start immediately.

Colette: Food Technology, Business & Economics

Colette graduated with a 2:1 degree in Food technology, Business & Economics and she also achieved first class honours in her Teaching Practice grade. She has had a wide range of experience, completing 5 different teaching practice placements.  These schools varied from rural quite academic schools to mixed ability challenging schools. Colette is a very outgoing and friendly teacher and she is extremely enthusiastic about Teaching in the UK. She has very good SEN experience and she has worked in a centre for adults with special educational needs such as Autism and also visually impaired learners.  She is interested in setting up extra-curricular craft and design groups and she has experience in this. Colette is an advocate of peer teaching and she has good behaviour management skills. She is available for interview and immediate start.
